9 Days 8 Nights tour package will give you an exciting opportunity to visit the most beautiful parks in Northern Tanzania. This includes visiting the endless plains of Serengeti National Park where you will be able to see all the big five. You will visit Lake Manyara which is famous for its flamingoes, tree-climbing lions, which are unique to this region, and the Ngorongoro Crater which is locally known as the garden of animals where there is a big chance to spot the big five in one day. Finally, you will end your safari in the beautiful Tarangire park which is famous for a huge population of elephants
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro airport, you will meet your Tanzania guide. He will take you to your hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure, you can relax and enjoy the African atmosphere. Your personal and experienced guide not only knows a lot about the Tanzanian culture but can also tell you a lot about the beautiful national parks and sights of the country. So do not be afraid to ask him questions – he will be happy to answer them all.
The first national park you visit is one of the smaller but most scenic ones. You can see elephants and huge troops of baboons in the forest and if you are lucky even tree-climbing lions. A variety of wildlife can be found around the huge soda lake, like buffalos, warthogs, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, and flamingos. The shallow Hippo Pool offers excellent opportunities for hippo sightings and you will have a spectacular view of the Rift Valley Escarpment.
Today you continue your safari in the Serengeti national park. Its stunning landscape can be seen in some of the most impressive nature documentaries. The endless plains and abundance of wildlife are unsurpassed. The annual wildebeest migration with more than a million wildebeest is probably the highlight of the Serengeti. It is a true spectacle and impressive to watch millions of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles thunder across the endless plains of the Serengeti. Together with your private guide you will be looking for the herds across the plains. Apart from the migratory animals you will also get to see lots of other animals, like lions, cheetahs, leopards, and many more. Expect to be impressed by the natural beauty of Africa’s most famous park.
Early morning you drive from Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The road leads you over the Great Rift Valley, through the crater forest, to the striking Ngorongoro Crater. This collapsed volcano is the main feature of the area and creates a unique ecosystem with a wide variety of vegetation. Enjoy the beautiful colours of the landscapes and the diversity of animals. The crater is home to the highest concentration wildlife in Africa and is choked with elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos and even the rare black rhino. This is one of the best places to spot all of the Big Five. The views from the crater rim over the crater floor are incredible. Because of its natural beauty the Ngorongoro Crater is chosen as one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders.
After an early breakfast, You will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro conservation Area supports avast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park, is it’s dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually been seen here.
Today will be at leisure to relax or explore, depending on your flight. Your driver transfers you to Kilimanjaro Airport for your departure flight.
It is however customary to tip your safari driver / guide at the end of the safari tour. The amount is dependent on your evaluation of the quality of the service rendered. An average of $ 10 per guest per day or 5-10% of your (safari only cost) is suggested. The amount is however at your discretion, you are welcome to provide additional compensation to any staff who have provided special services. A bar gratuity of $1 is acceptable.
You may tip in USD or in Euro at the end of your safari / tour and preferably in an envelope.
