Meet your safari guide who will give you a short briefing on the wonderful events ahead. Begin your exploration of this wonderful country as you drive to Tarangire. Arrive and check in at your lodge followed by lunch. You will have an afternoon game viewing drive. Spend the next day with morning and afternoon game viewing drives. At an extra cost, you will also have a night game viewing drive where you may catch a glimpse of such elusive nocturnal creatures as aardvarks, cape hares and bush babies.

Overnight at Tarangire Safari Lodge (B, L, D daily)

This morning depart to the famous Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area (NCCA), which features rolling plains, lakes, craters, mountains and dormant volcanoes. Arrive for lunch at Ngorongoro Sopa which enjoys one of the finest views of the crater. Afternoon spend at leisure.

The following morning descend down the crater for an enchanting game viewing drive. Known as ‘the eighth wonder of the world’ the Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s best-known wildlife arenas. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it offers a unique biosphere, which has remained virtually unchanged since the dawn of time. Deep within the Crater, enclosed by towering walls, some 25,000 large mammals wander the plains, lakes and forests of ‘the land that time forgot’, dominated by enormous bull elephants, rhinos and lions. Your drive now takes you to Serengeti undoubtedly one of the best known wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequalled for its natural beauty and scientific value. En route, stop at Ol duvai Gorge. Known as the ‘Cradle of Mankind’, this is one of the most important prehistoric sites in the world. Pioneered by famous palaeontologists Louis and Mary Leakey in the 1950s it offers a glimpse into life two million years ago.

Arrive in the late afternoon with a game viewing drive as you are transferred to Kirurumu Under Canvas. On the second day, you will have morning and afternoon game viewing drives. Optional activities while at the Serengeti include visits to local Maasai village to learn the local culture of this colourful tribe. An adventure worth taking is the balloon safari. Launching at dawn, rising as the sun rises, you gently float over the plains of the magnificent Serengeti. Overnight at Kirurumu Under Canvas (B, L, D daily)

This morning you will be transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Arusha where you on arrival, you will be transferred to Arusha Coffee Lodge for lunch. You will have some time for shopping before being transferred to Kilimanjaro airport for your International flight.
